Where ductless can help

Comfort for the rooms that need it.

Ductless can provide heating and cooling where existing equipment does not reach comfortably. We assess the space and compare options before recommending a system.

The converted attic

A ductless system may help condition a finished attic without extending existing ducts. We check the room, insulation, and heating and cooling needs first.

The addition or bonus room

An independent system can be an option when an addition needs more heating or cooling than the existing equipment can provide.

The sunroom

Glass, insulation, and sun exposure affect the equipment a sunroom needs. We assess the space before recommending a system.

A bedroom that stays uncomfortable

We look at why the room is uncomfortable and whether airflow improvements or a dedicated system would be a better fit.

Home offices and garages

A dedicated system can give a suitable workspace its own temperature control. We review how the space is used and the installation requirements.

Houses with no ductwork at all

Ductless is one option for adding cooling and heating to homes with radiators or baseboards. We plan the zones and compare suitable equipment.

A system designed for your space

Comfort where your home needs it.

Give a hard-to-condition room its own heating and cooling. We review the room, equipment capacity, placement, and installation requirements with you, then explain the options and price.

  • Heating and cooling in one system. We select equipment for the room and explain its performance in both seasons.
  • Placement planned with you. We discuss the indoor unit, outdoor unit, refrigerant lines, drainage, and electrical work.
  • Options for quieter comfort. Compare the selected equipment's sound ratings and suitable locations.
  • Control for each zone. We explain how individual room controls work within the proposed system.
  • Capacity matched to the space. We assess the heating and cooling needs before choosing equipment.
  • A local installation team. The project photos on this page show our work in local homes.

Planning your installation

What to consider before choosing ductless.

We help you weigh comfort, appearance, maintenance, and installation requirements together. You should understand how the system will fit your home before the work begins.

  • Indoor unit appearance. We discuss wall-mounted and other suitable equipment options for the space.
  • Regular maintenance. Filters, coils, blower wheels, and drains need care according to equipment requirements and use.
  • Zone planning. Open doors, room layouts, and equipment placement affect how comfort reaches each space.
  • Outdoor space. The outdoor unit needs suitable clearance, support, drainage, and service access.
  • Installation routes. We agree on refrigerant lines, drainage, and electrical work before installation.
  • Other comfort options. We compare ductless with improvements to your existing system when appropriate.

From someone who made the buying decision

A homeowner’s experience with our team.

A real Google review, quoted word for word — including the parts about the price and the warranty.

Middletown HVAC just installed a new HVAC system for us. From obtaining quotes to final installation, we found their customer service excellent, the installers were polite and professional, and the project was finished in a very quick timeframe. In comparison to other quotes we received, we found them very reasonable. An additional bonus is that their equipment warranty is longer than the standard. For all those reasons, we would highly recommend Middletown HVAC.

Useful answers before you call

Ductless questions.

Why is my mini split dripping water inside?
A drain problem is one possibility, but we need to inspect the unit to find the cause. Turn the unit off, protect nearby belongings if safe, and contact us. Keep clear of water near electrical equipment.
Why does my mini split smell musty?
Buildup on internal components or a drainage problem may contribute to odors. We inspect the unit and explain whether cleaning or a repair is needed. Filter cleaning alone may not reach the source.
How often does a mini split need cleaning?
Follow the filter-care and service instructions for your equipment. Usage, pets, and room conditions can affect cleaning needs. We inspect the filters, coils, blower wheels, and drainage and recommend an appropriate schedule.
Can one outdoor unit serve several rooms?
Yes, a compatible multi-zone system can connect several indoor units to one outdoor unit. We check room loads, equipment combinations, and capacity before planning the zones.
Can ductless provide heating as well as cooling?
Many ductless systems are heat pumps that provide both. Heating capacity varies by equipment and outdoor conditions. We check the needs of your space and explain the performance and any backup heating requirements.
What does installation involve?
The work can include indoor and outdoor units, refrigerant lines, drainage, wall penetrations, and electrical connections. We agree on placement, explain the scope, and give you a schedule for your project before work begins.
What does a ductless system cost?
Pricing depends on the equipment, number of zones, and installation requirements. Use our Fujitsu Ductless Estimator to explore installed pricing, then arrange a site visit so we can confirm the scope for your home.
