Heating with oil? Read this first

Another fill-up should not be your only option.

At $8 a gallon, a 250-gallon oil delivery costs $2,000 before extra fees. And one delivery may be only part of your heating season. If that bill has you rethinking how you heat your home, we will help you compare the heating options, installed prices, and operating costs that fit your house. A full conversion is one path; ductless or separate hot water can be a practical first step. Illustration using $8 per gallon, not a claim about today’s local oil price. Your supplier price, delivery terms, and fuel use can differ.

  • Compare gas, propane, a heat pump, or dual fuel. We check fuel availability, your heating needs, ductwork, and electrical capacity before recommending a path.
  • Start with our published installation pricing. We confirm the work your home needs before you approve a conversion.
  • If your oil boiler also makes your hot water, it may run throughout the summer. A separate water heater may reduce that oil use while keeping the boiler for home heating. We check the setup first.
  • Sometimes the honest answer is “not this year.” When that’s true, you’ll hear it from us.

Reviews from local homeowners

Middletown HVAC just installed a new HVAC system for us. From obtaining quotes to final installation, we found their customer service excellent, the installers were polite and professional, and the project was finished in a very quick timeframe. In comparison to other quotes we received, we found them very reasonable. An additional bonus is that their equipment warranty is longer than the standard. For all those reasons, we would highly recommend Middletown HVAC.

Middletown HVAC did it again! I woke up the morning of my birthday to no hot water. I went to their site and chatted with them via text at 10am, by the evening we were back to normal. Thank you soo much for getting me comfortable again!

Neal C. · Google review · February 2026

My heater has been on the fritz for months. I easily made an appointment online and Cody came out, diagnosed my issue and replaced my broken part in a day. My heater is now working g like new.

Linda S. · Google review · January 2026

I had a great experience with Middletown HVAC!!

My heater stopped working and I gave them a call. Heather answered the phone and was so helpful. Bryan came out to look at it just a few hours later. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and kind.

My husband wasn’t home yet when he identified the problem. Bryan explained the function of part the was broken in a way that was easy for me to grasp.

We will definitely be calling Middletown HVAC again if we ever have any heating or cooling issues!!

Service when your system stops working

Help when you need it most.

When the heat or cooling stops, you want someone who answers and explains what happens next. These homeowners shared how our team helped. Their reviews are quoted word for word.

Brian and his coowner are the best. They came out in a huge snowstorm arriving in a snowstorm to restore heat to my sisters house. Such a dedicated team that truly wants no customer to be left in the cold.

Brian came out same day to check our AC. Hottest day of May, he was a life saver, we were sweating our butts off. He replaced our thermostat and was done within 45 mins. Couldn't recommend these guys more! Fair pricing, thorough check and so nice!

Useful answers before you call

The questions we get most.

What does it cost to have someone come out?
The diagnostic is $129 for the first system in regular business hours and $125 for each additional system on the same visit. We check the equipment, explain our findings, and give you the repair price before approved work begins. Replacement estimates are free and separate. After hours it is $275 for evenings, weekends, and daytime holidays, and $375 overnight and on holiday evenings. Maintenance plan members pay $99 per system at any hour.
Do you answer at night?
Yes, a real person answers 24/7. For urgent service, call or text so we can check availability and explain the visit fee. Online booking is for future appointments and does not guarantee service today.
Can I see prices before booking?
Yes. We publish diagnostic and maintenance pricing, and our install estimator shows installed starting prices. For replacement work, we confirm the equipment, installation scope, and final price before you approve it.
Should I repair or replace?
We look at the actual fault, safety, equipment condition, repair cost, and your comfort needs. Age alone does not decide it. We explain whether a repair makes sense and discuss replacement when it is worth comparing.
Where do you work?
We serve Delaware County, Chester County, the Main Line, and nearby communities, including Media, Glen Mills, Garnet Valley, Wallingford, Springfield, Aston, Newtown Square, Havertown, Broomall, and West Chester. Call or text your ZIP code if you are unsure whether we cover your home.
Do you work on gas and oil systems?
Yes. We service gas and oil furnaces and boilers, including hot water and steam systems. We also work on combination boilers, tank and tankless water heaters, heat pumps, and ductless systems.
Can you help me use less oil?
Yes. We help you compare gas, propane, heat pumps, ductless, and dual fuel, as well as separate hot water where it makes sense. We check your home and the work required before recommending a conversion.
Can you give a second opinion?
Yes. Text us the technician’s report and any photos, or call to arrange a diagnostic visit. Photos can help us understand the equipment and your concern, but they do not replace testing at your home. Diagnostic visit fees apply. If equipment was shut down for safety, leave it off until checked.
What should I send by text?
Tell us what is happening, your town, and the type of equipment. A clear photo of the model label and any error code can help us prepare. We will explain whether a service visit or a replacement estimate is the next step.
The next step should be easy
